I need to open a Target db and determine if it is in a compiled state
and if not to Compile it.
The Application.iscompiled status is showing the value for the host
mdb - not the Target (when in debug mode)
The Target db (ConversionCode.mdb) is being opened sucessfully and I
can display the Module names (one again in debug mode)
When I try DoCmd.OPenModule (prior to compile attempt) I get error
2516 - Cannot Find the Module.
Is there a...

I have a C# project created in VS.NET 2003. I tried to run it in VS.NET
2005. 2005 did a conversion. I see much VB code and VB style comments. I
don't know what it did. Will a 2003 C# project run in 2005?
Thanks,
Brett

Does anyone know if C++ w/Managed Extensions code written for VS
2002/2003 will compile in VS 2005? I've read a lot about the changes
to C++ in .net ( the new CLI syntax ), but nothing I've read mentions
backward compatibility. They've removed overloading the C++ pointer,
for instance, so it can no longer reference a managed type. Is there
a compiler switch that enables 2002/2003 compiler behavior?

How to speed up compile in VS 2005 IDE?
Our solution have many projects, when I only modified a file, I want only to
compile the modified project, not need to compile all projects. It spend
time to compile all projects.

Ok,
I'm just a server guy with a bit a VS 2005 experience. I know that
you can deploy asp.net apps either compiled or not compiled. My
developer says that he prefers not to compile. I have to ask about
the pro's and con's of both. I'm especially concerned about
performance of each and the security pros and cons of each. Does
anyone have a theory on this and\or a link to a site that I can read?
Thanks very much and sorry if this...

Hello, I'm using a tool (PLY) which apparently expects the tokens to
be created using r''
But because one token is a rather complex regular expression, I want
to create the regular expression programmatically.
How can I generate a string and then create something of the same type
that the r'' function does?
Concretely, in the program below, consonant is not the same type as

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
