Hi,
I'm trying to determine with my program whether or not a given database
supports a given feature set. To do this I'm querying for certain stored
procedures in the sysobjects table and if they are present, making the
assumption the database will support the given feature. The problem is I
can't find a certain stored procedure in the sysobjects table, even though I
know it exists and can see other similar procedures using:
select...

I have linked a large SQL Server table to Access, however 'only'
2,195,439 records are shown and are available to query. Can I increase
the size (cache??)/number of records showing in Access?
Thank you.

For background, please refer to my original thread: http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=efe5w7tYEHA.3112%40tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl
I've thought of a potential way around the issue, but I'm new to ASP.NET and C# and need the expertese of individuals with more experience in these languages than I have.
I may be completely off target as I thought this up very early in the morning.
Here's the process as I see it:
1. InfoPath saves out the...

Some stored procedures call other stored procedures. When moving
stored procedures as part of a release this requires that you create
the children procedures before the calling procedures.
Is there a tool, script, or some other way to determine the dependency
list?

I was playing around with the new SQL 2005 CLR functionality and
remembered this discussion that I had with Erland Sommarskog concerning
performance of scalar UDFs some time ago (See "Calling sp_oa* in
function" in this newsgroup). In that discussion, Erland made the
following comment about UDFs in SQL 2005:
>>The good news is that in SQL 2005, Microsoft has addressed several of
these issues, and the cost of a UDF is not as severe...

I have a growning list of stored procedures that accept a single string
as a parameter.
The list and parameters are maintained in a table with two columns.
Some of the Stored procedures take hours to complete.
procedures and the page come right back and recording infomation about
the stored procedure (like a job number) that can later be used to
report what stored procedures are still running.

Hi
I have a vb.net winform data app with sql server 2005 backend. The ID field
in the tblClients table is an 'int' identity column that does not allow
nulls. The problem is that when I try to save the record using the below
code;
Me.Validate()
Me.CompaniesBindingSource.EndEdit()
Me.CompanyTableAdapter.Update(Me.EMSDataSet.tblClients)

Hello! I'm trying to get caching work with ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server
Express Edition 2005, but I have a problem and I can't figure out what I'm
still doing wrong.
I have enabled the database for cache notification by running the
aspnet_regsql tool on the command line:
aspnet_regsql -S server -E -d database -et
Then I have run the aspnet_regsql tool to enable each table in the database
for cache notification:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
