VS Team 2005 and Internal Server's dynamic port

Hello I have installed Visual Sudio Team System 2005 and I'm develping
ASP.NET 2.0 application. There is one problem that I can't understand:
when I launch my ASP.NET WebApplication in Studio's internal Web
Server it gives a dynamic port number but in browser it's decremented
by 2.

E.g. Studio's Intermal Web Server says that Web Application is in port
3456 but browser search that page from port 3454.

What in earth can case this? Can anyone please help?

Cheers,

After a server accepts a client connection on a certain port, a new socket is created on the server on a system managed dynamic port to handle the connection. Please confirm this. If so, how can I get the number of the dynamic port in the server (in server code)? Using LocalEndPoint.Port just returns the original listener port number. Thanks,

I have been asked to come up with a way to make a instant message program that will allow our outside customers by clicking on a name in a drop down menu can IM who they want. THe application I have works after telling my router to forward all communications from Port 5000 to a local IP address that contains the "Socket Server" program. mobjClient = New TcpClient("zz.zzz.zz.zz", 5000) mobjClient.GetStream()

I tried the new Visual Studio 2005 Team System + VSS2005, no Team Foundation Server. Some questions pop into my head: 1. WITHOUT TFS, can VSS2005 integrated with VS2005? What I like is the VS6 kind of integration: when I modify a source file in VisualStudio, VS found out it's readonly and controled by VSS, then pop up a dialog for me to check out from VSS. It seems like even with TFS, the integration between VSS and VS is not the same....

Hi guys. I hope I can discuss Twisted here. If not, direct me to the correct place please. My question(s): I'm working on a custom network protocol (application layer in TCP/IP model) for a custom network. Please don't try to talk me out of this. I'm limiting many of the other protocols, because this is in a highly secure network, and latency/bandwidth is key. The packet sizes are minimized by the protocol design, which is ideal. ...

A day or two ago, I wrote a quick ASPX page with a CS codebehind using Visual Studio .NET 2005 -- it worked, I saved it and closed the project. Today, I came back to the project, reopened the solution, and was greeted with the following error: ======================================================================== It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
