Hi,
I'm coding some small applications, that will run from a networkdrive.
To make the applications run from network drive, I need to trust every one
of them.
I use the .net Wizard, to give the applications full trust, then they run.
I can see, there's an oppertunity to trust all assemblys from one publisher.
But how can I put myself as publisher on my code in Visual Studio 2003?

I used Visual Studio 2005 to create a "Windows Installer Package". When
I ran the package on a Windows XP computer, I got a warning -- "Unknown
publisher".
My question is: what steps do I need to take to get rid of the warning?
I do not want to my customers to warnings like this.
Thanks

I have just upgraded Visual Studio from 2003 to 2005 and am in the process of
converting my VB applications. Most conversions have gone quite smoothly.
However, I have several Add-Ins that I developed to add button bars to
Publisher 2003. When built these under VS 2003, they worked. I used the
conversion wizard in VS 2005 to convert them. I then rebuilt and installed
them. They refused to work in Publisher. I checked the registry and it...

Re Unidentified publisher. Don't run the program unless you know ...
Different applications created using Visual Studio and C# run without this
message popping up. However, one other application does keep on showing this
message. All applications that were compared, were produced on the box on
which they are being run. I am unable to trace the cause of the difference
and to get rid of this annoying message.
Please may I have suggestions...

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer.
I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as
it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but
apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer.
Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I
see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

I'm not sure if this is an IIS 5.1 issue or ASP.NET issue, or Visual Studio
2008 issue -- thus posting to 3 groups. Please don't be offended.
The problem I'm encountering is that Visual Studio closes unexpectedly and
without any error message being displayed, or error messages written to the
system logs. Visual Studio closes when I attempt to open an ASP.NET Web
application (not Web site) solution for which IIS is set as the project's...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
