Hi,
We are using ASP.NET 2.0 health and monitoring provider.
I know that the platform raises events automatically.
I just wanted to know how can we raise them in C# code? I am trying to raise
WebBaseErrorEve nt or WebManagementEv ent.
Thank you,
Max 2 2788
(new WebRequestEvent ("my message",
null,
WebEventCodes.W ebExtendedbase +1)).Raise();

Thanks for bruce's input.
Hi Max,
As Bruce suggested, you can simply create the event instance and call
"Raise" method to raise it. Also, it support creating custom event, here
are some articles describing this:
#How To: Use Health Monitoring in ASP.NET 2.0 http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...ht000011_step1
#Raising Custom ASP.NET Health Monitoring Events Example http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms227545.aspx

Hello All,
Is this a bug? Why is this tuple getting unpacked by raise? Am I missing some
subtle logic? Why does print not work the same way as raise? Both are
statements. Why does raise need to be so special?
py> sometup = 1,2
py> print sometup
(1, 2)
py> print 1,2,3, sometup

Hi,
I have a problem with err.raise
I write a class module, and I want to use this mechanism to indicate errors
when user set wrong values to properties
But it seems the error is never raised (although, when I exit from the
property let code, if I check err.number and message, I get the error
message I set in err.raise statement
But my calling code never throw me into error handler if I set wrong

Hi,
what should I use to raise an error:
RAISE
or
THROW
And I am asking this with regard to the future VB.NET developments. Is Raise
the old way and Throw the new? Throw does not have parms to put errortext in
it, so it seems less usable then raise.
I am looking forward to your opinions.Refs to websites about this are
welcome.

Is this correct use of exceptions? to raise an indexerror and add my
own string insetad of just letting it raise a IndexError by itself and
"blaming" it on list.pop?
class Stack(object):
def __init__(self, *items):
self.stack = list(items)
def push(self, item):
self.stack.append(item)

Hi,
I've encountered a problem which is making debugging less obvious than
it should be. The @property decorator doesn't always raise exceptions.
It seems like it is bound to the class but ignored when called. I can
see the attribute using dir(self.__class__) on an instance, but when
called, python enters __getattr__. If I correct the bug, the attribute
calls work as expected and do not call __getattr__.
I can't seem to make a simple...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
