I'm developing in VS.NET 2002 and I'm having trouble working around the
issue with page inheritance and the VS.NET Form Designer.
When I create a base class for my form, and inherit from it, I can no longer
bring up the inherited form in the designer. I get the error "The file
failed to load in the Web form designer. please correct the following error,
then load it again : Type Abstract"

page Load event of each page and to be reusable in other web apps.
So i decided to use a Class Library which contains a class that inherits
from the System.Web.UI.Page. the class contains an override of the OnLoad
event in which the common code is executed.

I have a higher level question about inheritance. We have a base class that
all our intranet pages inherit that does things like our navigation menu,
security etc. That works great is amazingly simple.
We also have an assembly that we use in most pages that holds our commonly
used functions such as returning a datatable, binding grids etc. It's
originally named CommonFunctions.dll .
It makes sense to me to try to expose those methods...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
