We're running Load Runner to test a large 1.0 based WinForms application.
I'm getting the following exception when opening and closing a form 400 -
450 times. The form contains several controls and custom UserControls. All
the code is native C#.
I'm not making an explicit call to ToBitmap or DrawIcon in my code. Can
anyone help?

Is it possible to get a webservice to call to a Windows Form? Both the
webservice and the form are running at the same computer.
I work in C#.NET in Visual Studio. I tried to make an eventin the
webservice, which to form should listen to. But you cant see the event when
you add the webservice to the form project. The only event I could see was
'Dispose'. So it looks like it is possible to make events in a webservice,
when it has the...

I have writtten a webservice in .Net 1.1 using C#, that exposes an existing COM+ application as a webservice to remote web applications.
The COM+ application works fine under Win 2000, XP amd 2003. and the webservice works fine under Win2000 and XP.
However I have been unable to get the webservice working with our COM+ application on a Windows 2003 server, although I can use the same COM+ application from a Windows forms application on...

Hi,
Scenario:
The webservice was developed on windows 2000 Pro and deployed previously on windows XP pro for testing. We have tested for many days. The client for that service was 30+ and accessing the webservice each min. It was working 100% fine.
Problem:
But now in actual deployment, we have deployed webservice in Win Server 2003 and we have used all the default configurations. Now the clients are accessing that service the same way...

Hi,
I am trying to call a webservice from a windows service application. It
works only if I launch the windows service app from VS.Net 2005 (Worked
around from Main()) or from a winform test application. However, it
generates a kind of security error after I install and start the service in
my Window Server machine. I believe that it is related to authentication.
The following is the sample code:
HttpWebRequest obj =...

Hi,
I am trying to create a .net webservice such that:
When a user calls the service, the server creates a
System.Windows.Forms.Form
and shows it on the server screen. I know this sounds bizarre, but i
do have a good reason for doing this.
I can get the following to work when i run the service in Visual
Studio (c#):

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
