Is there any way to specify an input mask for an IP-Adress in pl/sql?
If not, I would write a function that would handle this, but don't
want to bring down my performance too much, so I was wondering if
there was another way to do this in pl/sql, e.g. the way you can
specify a mask for a telephone number.

It is hard for me to imagine a time when you would not want to have the data
in a textbox control trimmed. I am hoping there is some sort of switch that
can be set for all text boxes so that when the user leaves the text box it
gets trimmed. Is there such a thing. If not, does this mean I need to
write some sort of trimming code for each text box I place on a Winform. If
so, what is the simplest and easiest way for me to see to it that...

I'm just getting started with ASP.NET, but I have a strong grasp of C# and
VB.NET.
When my ASPX page loads, I set focus to a text box that will be populated by
a barcode scanner. All of that is working fine.
Once the barcode is scanned, I want to call my ProcessBarcode method without
the end-user needing to click anything or press the enter key. I saw the
following example and added it to me page_load (if not postback) event, but...

I've successfully made the columns in a DataGridView format numbers correctly
using the Format porperty. Now I'm trying to do the same with textboxes, but
the Mask property doesn't work the same way. In fact at run-time, it displays
the number from left-to-right in the mask. (If the mask is 00,000,009.99,
then 100 is displayed as 10,0 , . ) Is there a way to make the textbox
behave the same way as the DataGridView columns?

Is it possible to make a field that is not a number field into an auto number?
I shall try to explain better.
I have a field with the mask AAA-00-000 where AAA is a category code, the first set of numbers is the year (e.g. 07 for this year) and the final set of numbers is a auto number relating to both the category code and year (you should be able to have AAA-06-001, AAA-07-001 and BAA-07-001) but instead of having people look up the next...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
