Hi, I have a gridView (grid1), which as a templateColumn. In the template column, I have put in a gridView (grid2) and a ObjectDataSource (objectDataSource2). Question is... How to I pass the current_row_key of Grid1... to the objectDataSource2 parameter? (so that the second grid, gets only the information to do with current row of grid1)

Hello I'm in the middle of trying to build an "AD phone book", and this being my first try at asp.net, I have a few questions that I hope some of you might be able to help with: 1. Is it correct, that PageSize equals the max size of the result set? 2. Is there a way to make asp cache the search result, so the domain controller won't be to bother by all the lookups, and also to speed up

I am dynamically adding a checkbox in a gridview and I find there are several things that I cannot figure out how to address. 1. The width of the checkbox column is very wide. I've tried adding properties and Item Style to the column but it has no effect. Is there someway to size this column to be smaller? I removed the CssClass property and it had no effect on the size as well. 2. The gridview is sortable using javascript. Is there...

Hi all, I have a form with an input radio control in a template field. When the user selects an option, and press a button the selection disappears.. I would like the selection to persist after the button makes the postback, I tried using the findcontrol but it returns null, and do not know how to make sure that the radio selected persist after the button action makes the postback.

I'm getting my data from an XML file. The data binds fine, but I can't sort on it. Do I have to do anything special? I have enabled sorting on my grid view. Autogenerate columns is off, and I use bound fields. The sort expression is just the same datafield that binds the column, but when I try to sort with the post back, nothing works.

I have a user control that has a gridview in it. I am dynamically setting up its datasource and columns based on an XML file. I have everything done except adding columns to the gridview, so that the user only sees certain columns based on the XML file. In my ASCX page I simply defined the gridview <asp:GridView ID="gvSearchResults" HorizontalAlign="Center" AllowSorting="true" runat="server"

I have a gridview with a dropdown list in an EditItemTemplate. I haven't set a width for the columns, so that they dynamically size according to the data displayed. When it goes into edit mode I want to make the dropdown lists a bit wider to allow for the width of the arrow, and widen the column accordingly. If I set the width of the dropdown list to a fixed unit such as 300px; then it widens the column accordingly. But if I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
