I am trying to access strongly typed properties in a page's master page from
the content page. I followed an article that describes how to do this, and
it seems quite straight forward. However when I try to access the property
from my content page intellisense does not show the public property.
Likewise when I go to compile I get an error saying that
Specifically here is the article I am trying to follow:

Again another simple concept that appears NOT to be intuitive or I'm just
stupid. I've read the WROX book and the example doesn't actually show how
the .master page links in the other content pages? Kinda sorta a critical
point no?
Am I missing something?
Rob.
P.S. the day I find a book that actually is useful rather than just a

Hello:
I am struggling with something that would seem to be very easy.
I am using a master page.
On the content page (which includes the master page), I have a form with a
submit input type button.
Then, within the IsPostback section of Page_Load, I try to read the value of

I can use a good help here with what looks like a simple problem.
I have a control called Header.ascx in /Control/System directory, where / is
my web application directory.
The header is used in a master page called MasterPage.master in the /
directory.
I have a Default.aspx in / which uses the master page in the root. The user
control (which is really in the master page) in this page shows fine.

Hi,
I'm trying to use the master/detail page to display the information of
staff. The master page will display some general information, while the
differen detail pages will show the different kinds of staff details, like
family member details, contact information, etc.
Hence, this case, I'll have
- Staff.master
- Family.aspx

I've gotten a couple of emails about this problem lately so I'm going
to post the solution that someone emailed me a while back.
When you create a master page visual studio automatically adds a <--
doctype ... statement near the top of the master page.
Somehow this forces some w3c standard where scrolltop isn't supported.
I removed the doctype declaration from my masterpage and everything
works fine.
Actually I changed the dtd type to...

I have been reading Scott Allen's article on Master Pages (http://
odetocode.com/Articles/450.aspx) but I am having problems
understanding a concept. Specifically, I have created a property
(called "CurFlag") on my master page that can be accessed from content
pages, but not from separate code modules.
I tried doing something like this in my VB code module:
Dim myMaster As MasterPage = CType(ProjectMgmt.Master,
MasterPage)

I have an intranet site and want to create a simple master page to be shared
across all applications that are built for that site. I build my master page
in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Masters as CTMNet.master and I have tested it with no
problems.
I am now trying to use VS2008 to build my first application which would
reference the master page. I created a virtual directory that points to
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\masters, and my page starts with:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
