For me it works just fine
I've ran with that configuration before.
It's no problem at all.

No issues, except when creating new Project you might have to manually set
correct version of .NET it should be running under with IIS Management
tool.
Also you need to create new Pool for different versions of .NET again using
IIS Management console.

The only potential issue I know of is having to set up separate application
pools in IIS for each version.

We run both where I work and the only issues we have is with the App
Pools. You just need to make sure you create at least 1 for each
ASP.Net version. Sometimes I find that if you assign the wrong AppPool
to the wrong version it can bring down all sites that have conflicting
app pools.

Hi all:
If you think that the following comments are absolute amateurish, then
please bear with me, or simply skip this thread.
A couple of months back I made the decision to initiate a gradual upgrade of
my web programming skills from Classic ASP / VBS to ASP.NET / VB.NET.
While the study of the language differences and all the new features in .NET
has so far not been a traumatic experience, I am a bit shell-schocked after

We have VS.NET 2003, .NET 1.1, and SQL Server 2000 installed locally on each
of our developer workstations. We will need to keep these tools installed
for maintaining old applications, but intend on developing new applications
using ASP.NET 2.0, VS 2005, and SQL Server 2005. Are there any barriers in
running these products side by side assuming we wait to install the live
versions released in a couple weeks?
Thanks in advance.

If you have already created a web-based application in Visual Studio 2003, will it run on the .NET 2.0 framework or will you have to upgrade your VS 2003 to VS 2005 code in order to run it. We have a developer who just recently finished a nice sized project in VS 2003, but we just recently upgraded out .NET framework to 2005. I haven't broke the news to him yet, hopefully I won't have to and it will run.
Thanks!

I am still waiting for my copy of VS 2005 that I ordered about 2 weeks ago.
When I finally get VS 2005, I will want to continue to run my projects using
2003 and at the same time I want to make a copy of my currently projects and
upgrade them to VS 2005 and .Net 2 to make sure everything works correctly
and start taking advantages of the new features.
Also, I am not sure I am ready to make the jump to 2005 cold turkey.
Is anybody...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
