CS0016: Access is denied in ASP.NET 2.0 intranet site

I just installed .NET framework 2.0 on a Windows 2003 Standard SP1 box
with IIS 6.0. There is just the default site, and I am getting this
error when trying to hit the default page:

Compiler Error Message: CS0016: Could not write to output file
'c:\WINDOWS\Mic rosoft.NET\Fram ework\v2.0.5072 7\Temporary ASP.NET
Files\root\2667 6eb7\92c7e946\A pp_global.asax. yupxk6b8.dll' -- 'Access
is denied. '

I ran aspnet_regiis.e xe /i, and then deleted everything below
C:\WINDOWS\Micr osoft.NET\Frame work\v2.0.50727 \Temporary ASP.NET Files.
I then gave NETWORK SERVICE full control permissions there and below.
IUSR_mymachine, ASPNET, and also has those permissions. What am I
doing wrong?

Try killing the aspnet_wp.exe process. It may not be releasing a lock on the
temp file. If that fails, you may want to try rebooting and then manually
emptying out the temp directory to force IIS to copy its temp files.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see a process named aspnet_wp.exe in
Task Manager. I restarted IIS and deleted the temp directory. But I
get the same behavior, same error.

Hello, I have a fairly new install of Windows XP Pro SP1 with current patches (not SP2 as it is not certified for our network yet) with a local IIS server on the same machine. I have Visual Studio 2003 installed. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
