Hi to everybody,
please forgive me if what I'm asking is obvious but I couldn't really
find out any good pointers in a few hours of googling on the python site
and related places.
The question is: Does anyone have any advice on how to build Python on
win64 boxes?
We know it _is_ possible after we found Martin von Loewis's cool
installer. The only catch is, we don't know how he got there :-(

I had previously explained this problem in a different thread, but now that
I have an IISState log, I figured I'd re-start the thred. My situation and
the log are following...
I have a very odd situation here. I have an administration page, where
based on a users permissions, a recordset is called from the SQL server
which has a list of paths to "Module Menus". Each of these menus are then
placed into the page by calling...

Hi everybody!
I have a really big problem with ASP.NET application. I noticed that the
w3wp.exe memory size, increase with the time and the use of my website. When
it raise a certain value, w3wp crashes and restart just after. My
application is on a WebServer2003.
So I have to resolve 2 problem :
-Why the memory size of the w3wp increase non stop.
- Why the w3wp crashes (in the case where there is no link between those

We are having a problem which appears similar to a previous posting:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&frame=right&th=d97f552e10f8c94c&seekm=OZw33z9EDHA.2312%40TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl#link1
In the current release of our system, we decided to "wrap" the ASP.NET
Session and Application objects to improve code clarity and accuracy.
For example, instead of:
Session = new SomeListClass;

Greetings,
We make an ASP.NET web application and we host it for our customers. We
have provisioned hardware and hope to be able to service around 200
customers on this hardware. The web servers are in a stateless farm and
have 2 GB of RAM. We are using ASP.NET 1.1 when using a dedicated
application pool for each virtual directory. Each customer gets their own
virtual directory and copy of the ASP.NET dll in their bin folder, which...

Friends,
We are preparing for Beta release of a new ASP.NET project, but our initial
in-house tests are not going well. We have had W3WP.exe (and aspnet_wp.exe)
die, and we feel we can monitor it's death and sometimes get useful
information out of the DMP file.
But lately, W3WP.exe lives, but appears hung. New request to the
application hang unresponsive, existing user sessions are unresponsive, and
eventually session timeout and go...

Hello,
I created a Win64 build environment by copying from a Win32 environment, and
modifying the Win32 macro to the Win64 macro.
After that, the properties window does not load anymore and building or
rebuilding does not work anymore.
On one computer, which is a slightly newer install it does work.

hi,
we just migrated to x64 and .net 2.0 and getting a debugger popup with
the system.cannotunloadappdomainexception caused by w3wp.exe. it
happens intermittently, and doesn't seem like it's gonna lend itself to
easy troubleshooting. anyone's experiencing this? where should i start
digging?
thanks,
rh

As many people know, I think that garbage collection is a good
solution for many memory allocation problems.
I am aware however, that nothing is "the silver bullet", not
even the GC.
A recent article in slashdot

proves that.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
