Hi there
I am exposing a c# assembly as a COM component (regasm /codebase) and
calling it from classic asp. When I try to call the
ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings function in the c# assembly, it does
not return the values from my web.config.
The web.config is located in the root of the web application. The
classic asp page that calls the COM exposed c# assembly is located in a
subfolder called message. Can anyone help me out here?

Hey all,
I'm hitting a wall... We have many daily reports generated on another
server, need to present list of available files and allow user to download
desired files from aspx page... any suggestions on how to do this? The
other server is running Win2K3 with SQL but no IIS... tried mapping drives
and setting up shortcuts, nothing allows permissions from IIS_Guest
account...
even a "Can't Get there from here..." would be appreciated at...

I believe I have all the appropriate code for AdjustingTokens etc an

Hello,
Using ASP.NET v2.0.40607.42, I'm attempting to create a new file
extension that should be handled exactly like "aspx" pages. For
example, I just want to rename an aspx page from "test.aspx" to
"test.extx", where .extx extensions are handled in exactly the same way
as aspx pages.
In pre-2.0 versions of ASP.NET, simply adding a HttpHandler element
(below) to web.config, and adding a IIS mapping of "extx" to

I managed to create and compile a simple aspx source file from VS 2003. When I try to
access it thru the Cassini web server from my web browser on the same machine I get
this below. Anyone know why?
Originally web.config was
<authentication mode="Windows" />
and had the same error. But I tried editing the web.config file line 46 to "None"
and that didn't help. They mention IIS in the error message. But I'm not using IIS.

Hi,
I put that question already, but it's still not very clear to me, so ...
Assume following option in web.config=
debug="false"
but in one aspx page (test.aspx)
<%@ debug="true" ..%>

Hi there,
In a submit button event, I need to open a (server-side) file relative to
the folder containing the ".aspx" file. What's the correct way to locate the
".aspx" folder itself inside my handler? Thanks in advance.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
