I have added an HTMLTextArea object (htaNote) to my
webform.aspx and in the Page_Load codebehind I type
something like:
htaNote.Value = "Ouch!"
Unfortunately, the intellisense does not provide
the .Value for me because it does not recognize the object.
I cannot reference Me.htaNote, either.

I implemented a simple class inherited from Page to create a page
template. It simply wraps some trivial html around the inherited page,
and puts the inherited page into a form.
The problem I have run into is that the emitted html at the end of the
process is slightly different and doesn't work.
Please don't be put off by all the source...

Hi,
I just read the pattern "Design and Implementation Guidelines for Web
Clients" from MSDN.
Here is my question. In chapter 3,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnpag/html/diforwc-ch03.asp ,
the article mentions using page inheritance to maintain common page layout.
We currently use page inheritance...

I have a custom control (MyTextBox - taken from Microsoft website)
that implements the IPostBackDataHandler interface. It is added to
the controls collection of a placeholder control during the Page Load
of a main ASPX page. Now if we debug the MyTextBox, we find the order
of events like so (during a Posback, of course): OnInit -> OnLoad ->...

I have a contact form that a person submits to the server.
In ASP, you'd make a page, post the form to another page, which would grab
the values and do somethign with them.
in ASP.NET, it appears that you grab the values directly from the form
objects on the postback.
Here's our problem:

I'm just wondering if this would work. Please note that I'm not asking *how*
to raise events. I'm clear on that. What I'm not clear on is the sequence in
which events are raised by custom controls relative to the hosting Page, and
therefore if the following specific arrangement would even work.
What I'm looking to do is dynamically insert...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
