Hello, I'm relatively new to C and have gone through more than 4 books
on it. None mentioned anything about integral promotion, arithmetic
conversion, value preserving and unsigned preserving. And K&R2
mentions "signed extension" everywhere.
Reading some old clc posts, I've beginning to realize that these books
are over-generalizing the topic. I am just wondering what the

I am having lots of trouble with one of my user controls (ascx) not
automatically loading postback data. An image on the aspx page starts
the postback and the parent has no problem loading it's own
information, but when it comes to loading the data for the user
control, nothing loads. From my understanding, during postback, the
user control should reload the new information based on the postback.

Hi all. I have an empty datagrid on my web form. And I
add BoundDataColumn(s) to it through code. But after each
postback, the columns and rows disappear.
As a workabout, I tried to rebind the datagrid to the
dataset (stored in a session variable) on the PageLoad
function which works fine.

The problem I cannot seem to solve:
I have a page with a button control. In the On_Click eventhandler I
dynamically add one TextBox each time the button is clicked. I add the
textboxes to an update panel. I store the ID for the generated
textboxes in the Viewstate, which I use in the Panels' INIT
eventhandler to go ahead and instantiate the textboxes once again

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
