Hi, no one answered so I thought reposting would get this some attention...
What is the best way to manipulate MSOffice programs? I understand that
regular web pages do not have certain permissions (because of safety
measures) to do things like open up MS word/excel programs, for example, from
a web site. Usually an activex control must be installed first I think?
What I need is a strategy for the best way to open up word/excel...

At first I was not certain what could cause Access 97 from displaying
most jpeg images, but not all. After further testing, it seemed that
all original images of less than 275 pixels per inch or less would
display, but those close to 300 pixels/inch or greater would not (MS
Access cannot recognize the file format xxx.jpg). The larger, original
images were scanned and saved as .bmp (at 300 dpi producing a 15MB
file). Then the images were...

Well I am posting the information on a blank form, then submitting the
server.transfer. The first page is just to update the database. The second
page shows the updated information. There should be no postback information
at all. I am reading the form collection of the request class. Here is my
code:
CreateEmployee.aspx.cs (first page)
private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)

(Sorry for the repost, but I thought maybe I'd have better luck this
time)
I'm working on a utility to provide an overview of one's .NET projects
and one of the things I want to display is detailed information about
what each project references, whether it is assemblies in the GAC or
non-GAC assemblies or other .NET projects.
From the project file I can get the assembly names of all assemblies
referenced by a project, including other...

Can anyone give me any ideas on why VS.NET 2003 running on XP Pro. (P4's
with 1GB RAM) would take over 3 minutes to simply create a new ASP.NET Web
Application on http://localhost?
It seems that the IIS directory gets created right away, but it is not
configured as an application directory until several minutes go by.
Thanks,
Scott M.

I have several context menus added to my form. The form is displaying items
in listviews connected to the context menus. When I click on an item in a
list view, a popup context menu shows allowing me to chese between editing
or deleting the item from the list view. That works fine.
However, in addition to calling the context menu on Click, I can call it
also by RightClick which causes application to either freeze, crash, call
Delete...

Hi all,
I am experiencing a weird issue and I hope you can help. We are using a
Microsoft Access 2003 project (.ade) with an SQL Server 2000 database. One
form contains a list box with the 'Table/View/StoredProc' row source type.
The row source itself is a stored procedure.
When an administrator opens this form, he sees data in the list box.
Profiler shows a correct command 'EXEC <stored procedure<parameters>'.
That is allright.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
