I am currently attempting to figure out how the new databinding
stucture works in ASP.NET 2.0 after working with v1.0 & v1.1 for
several years.
It seems that if you wish to do set up databinding at Design Time, you
are restricted to using one of the 5 xxxDataSource controls.
The data in our websites are usually obtained via a set of webservices
and are contained in a set of strongly typed relational DataSets.

I have a dropdownlist in a GridView ItemTemplate. I need to bind the ddl to
an SqlDataSource, then have a value from a boundfield in the row be passed as
the keyfield for select where clause. Im trying to load the ddl with a list
of dates from another table keyed on GridView row field that only apply to
this row.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a dropdownlist bound to an objectdatasource.
I need to loop through all the items in the datasource to get the values of
a column that is not used as the datatextfield or the datavaluefield.
I thought maybe in the databound event of the dropdownlist, but don't know
how to reference the source items.
