Has anyone else had any trouble setting up a sitemap view to be
filtered by roles?
We've put a cust role provider in place, and we can verify that it's
only being called once for each connection, and is returning the
correct roles, but...
When we specify a role on the top sitemapnode that role seems to add to
the roles on lower level nodes, so we end up needing to put roles="*"
on the top node, but then regardless of which role we put...

I am trying to dynamically set the page title in the form load event of
my master page, but the CurrentNode property doesn't seem to be
available for some reason in the following code, the SiteMap object is
available to me and intellisense shows many methods and properties for
it, but CurrentNode is not in the list. However, I don't get any
indication at design time that it would cause an error. When I try to
run the code, I get the error:...

I have to questions about SiteMaps
1st) Is there any way to use a wildcard in the SiteMapNode?
I'd like:
testpage.aspx?Type=Fruit&SubType=Apple
and
testpage.aspx?Type=Fruit&SubType=Orange
to show resolve the same. The subtype has many possibilities and is passed

I am writing a custom control (code see below) and I am getting an
exception that drives me crazy.
When I drag my control on a form, Visual Studio shows immediately the
following exception:
"Error Rendering Control - NiftyMenu1 An unhandled exception has
occurred. The provider 'AspNetXmlSiteMapProvider' specified for the
defaultProvider does not exist in the providers collection."

hi,
i have put my web.sitemap in /App_Data so i can edit it programatically via
a web admin page, inheriting the modify permissions from the App_Data folder
etc.
i was hoping the provider would simply persist any changes i made, but it
doesn't happen.
e.g. selected.ParentNode.ChildNodes.Remove(selected);
throws a NotSupportedException "Collection is read-only"

Hi guys,
So the ever-lasting problem has remained until now - how to create a dynamic sitemap from information stored in a database.
Microsoft's MSDN magazine covered how to do this using a custom-made class in C#, specific table architecture and a couple of database triggers (plus how to deal with caching on SQL Server 7 and 2000 - MSSQL 2K5 automatically deals with cache dependencies which handles new sitemap layout and/or content, which...

In my Title and Description web.sitmap file I use:
3255|Home
5434|Support
5342|Contact
etc in the Title and Description properties. The number represents a phrase
lookup ID in a function that returns a translated word in French, German
etc.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
