The LoginStatus control does not have a click event.
If anybody is at all familiar with this control and can explain how to
create a click event I'm ready to learn something new.

I am interested in the best approach for placing a LoginStatus control
in a Master page. The reason I'm doing this is so I can always display
the "Login" or "logout" link at the top of every page on my site.
However, this control needs to be placed inside a <form runat=server>
which means that any other page using this as their masterpage cannot
include a <form runat=server> tag because only one can ever be on a
page.
The easy approach...

Has anybody observed the use of the LoginStatus control? Selecting it emits
two clicks where as other selections emit one click. I've tested this
control in a clean page to isolate the behavior. Its not the sound the
double clicks that disturbs me as much as not understanding why they occur
and the fact that this control is really really really slow to load the
login control itself. What can be going on here?

Hi folks,
Im trying to use the LoginStatus Control in a Master page, the login
part works fine. When logged in the logout link appears and when
clicked it seems to trigger the next button on my forms, instead of
logging out. Ive tried setting the LogoutAction to Redirect and
LogoutRedirectUrl to the login page but no luck. The master contains
the server side form that all pages use.

Hi,
I moved my login.aspx page from root to a subdirectory and made
-hopefully- all necessary changes for all Login controls. All the
controls work just fine, except one. To my regret, the LoginStatus
control still uses the old, root-located login.aspx intead of
subdir/login.aspx. What's interesting is that for logout it works
perfectly (path to subdir/logout.aspx is recognized OK).
Could anyone write me please, where does the...

Hi Folks,
I'm using the ASP.NET 2.0 LoginStatus control and am having a
frustrating time! I created a basic testbed web site added the control
to the default page, added a login.aspx page with a login control and
edited the web.config to use forms authentication and point to the
login.aspx page. It works beautifully.
However, when I do the same in my my main web app a problem occurs.
When I run the app, the loginstatus control is...

How do you get a reference to the LoginStatus control contained in the
LoginView control that resides on web.master?
I need to determine if the LoginStatus will show a LogOut link(for a logged
in user), or show nothing at all (in the case of the user not logged in);
Are there any other Membership properties that I can call that tell if the
user has already authenticated.?

I've placed a LoginStatus control on a master page (so I don't need to have
it on every webpage) in my project. When I click on this control to logout,
I get this error:

Hi,
I am using a LoginStatus Control in a c# based .aspx page. The page includes
some dynamically created
controls. These are set up automatically, depending on what is in the
Request object.
My page works fine until I click on my logout link. This seems to cause the
OnInit and Page_Load events to occur twice - the first is as I would expect,
but the second has an empty Request object and the result is that I am

I am struggling to allow a LoginStatus control reflect its changed
state when embedded in a cached page.
All pages in my app share a common login user control that basically
consists of a LoginStatus ctl and a welcome text. On every refresh,
the welcome text is rendered fine via a substitution control.
The problem arises with the LoginStatus. Since the LoginStatuscontrol
cannot be wrapped within a substitution control, it cannot be...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
