I'm looking for a one-step publish to server solution. I'm developing my web
app in VS.NET and use my local IIS for testing. When ready to publish the
latest release, I'd like to be able to hit "publish" so all the dll and aspx

How can you determine if you are in debug mode in Asp.net 2.0
I thought I could look at the web.config compilation debug directive
but then I read this
http://odetocode.com/Blogs/scott/archive/2005/11/15/2464.aspx
which said the directive is ignored if you "Publish Web Site".
In my global.asax file I wanted to do somethings depending on whether
we are debugging or live.

I have an odd problem. I'm beating myself bloody trying to get
debugging to work. I have VS.Net 2005 installed on a Windows XP SP2
workstation and on a W2003 Server. The asp.net application is
working. I need to debug. I get the error:
"Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot
connect to the remote computer" ...and something about it not existing

I have <compilation debug="true"in my web.config. The trouble is that I
have to manually change this to "false" every time I publish the website. I
tried moving this to global machine.config and web.config on the development
machine, but then VS 2005 complains that there's no Debug in web.config and
asks to modify the file. When I remove the compilation section completely

Hi,
I'm working in asp.net 2.0, the one that comes with visual studio 2005. I
have noticed that while I build my website there is no dll produced as used
to happen in the earlier versions. If there is a no dll, what use it is to
compile with either Debug or Release configurations? Does that make a
difference?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
