I'm trying to set up a form with two panels divided by a Splitter control.
I can make the Splitter work in the situations described in the documentation (Listbox or TreeView on left w/Dock set to Left, Panel on right of form w/ Dock set to Fill, Splitter between them set w/ Dock set to Left. Works as advertised.
But... if I change to have two panels on the form one on the left with Dock set to Left, a panel on the right with Dock set to...

Basically, how do I know that the release versions of all components are
being published?
The Build | Configuration Manager is confusing me a little in VS2005.
I have three projects in my solution:
1) web service website.
2) SOAP Extension Class Lib that compiles to a dll
3) WinForm application with a proxy to test the web service.

1. Create a new Windows Application project.
2. Open the project properties and check "Make single instance application".
3. Build.
4. Go to the release folder and run the application.
5. Try to open a second instance of the application.
This will cause an unhandled exception and the "Send Error Report" box shows
up. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?
Debug info: "Unhandled exception at 0x00e149fd in...

The following code works fine when executed, however will not display
correctly within the VS2005 Designer, why is this? is this a bug? it
works fine in VS2003, If I move the ASP:Panel to also contain the <TABLE
then everything displays correctly, but my orginal VS2003 code makes use of
panels to include or exclude html based upon there visible property. So Not
having support for this in VS2005 is a real pain.

I've begun trying to create some basic applications and controls and am left
wondering if Microsoft rushed this to market, is just anti-web standards, or
just wants it to be hard to create great sites. For instance:
When I create a template or region editing control. Why doesn't the region
or template pick up the attributes of the container I'm editing (and
preferably staying in the flow of the page)? Why does this matter? Well, if
I...

I have converted a vs 2003 solution to 2005 and when I try to switch to
design mode for a user control I get:
Cannot switch views: Validation (Internet Explorer 6): Element 'Style'
cannot be nested within element 'div'
Here is the html:
<div style="z-index: 101; left: 1px; width: 541px; position: absolute; top:

Hello,
for a large web site project we would like to use nested Master Pages.
Unfortunely VS2005 is not able to show pages in design mode when
nested Master pages are used.
This has the consequence that also each content page cannot be used in
design mode.
It is impossible to design hundrets of pages in source mode without design

I'm using VS2005. I have a solution consisting of twelve projects. All
projects are console/service apps except for one which is a WinForms app.
There are no web projects. I'd say that I'm at around 125k-150k lines of
code in total.
My development machine has 2gigs of physical RAM, a hyperthreaded CPU
running at 3.6ghz, and plenty of harddrive space on a recently defragged
drive. The only installed apps are VS2005 and SQL Server 2005....

Okay, another problem I'm having with nested master pages on VS 2005.
I've got a MasterPage,master, as SubMaster.master, and a
DesignTime.master, and a content page, default.aspx.
The DesignTime master is a single level master page incorporating both
the content of the MasterPage and the SubMaster, so that I can get
around the fact that you can't see content pages in Design mode if
they use nested masters.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
