I am developing a windows application in VB.NET 2005 that includes a
number
of crystal reports.
To use the reports I use the included crystal report viewer and pass a
dataset to the report at runtime in order to report from. The issue I
am
having is with the amount of memory that the crystal viewer uses and
doesn't
recover.
When I first load a report it can add an extra 30Mb to my applications
memory usage, then as I close and open report viewer that usage keeps
increasing. The memory overhead never seems to recover after I have
closed
the crystal viewer.
I have been looking at VB.NET 2005 and using the new crystal viewer in
that
environment has the same problem, if not actually using more memory to
display the same report.
Is this a known issue, and if so are there any known solutions?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I have a table, which contains a picture column, I put URL info into it.
"www.myweb.com/1.jpg..."
I want to show this picture in my crystal report, I find
some samples show the "static" picture in Crystal report,
No "Dynamic" one.
Can Crystal Report do that?

Forgive me for posting this again, but old items seem to get little review.
I thought I could adjust the viewer properties without any further aid from
the NG, but I was wrong. When I print my reports to a file or directly to
the printer, the orientation is landscape. This was set in the report
itself using Designer | Printer Setup and setting the printer to landscape.

I am using (trying to) CR version XI, cascading parameters feature works it
asks user to enter params. But if page is resubmitted. It prompts for params
again. I did set ReuseParameterValuesOnRefresh="True" in a viewer, but it
still doesn't work. Did anyone run into this problem. What's the solution?

Hello, I am developing a VB.NET 2003 application that will use lots of
Crystal Reports. Sometimes the users will preview a report in a
Crystal report viewer, and sometimes they will send the report directly
to the printer bypassing the Crystal report viewer altogether.
