Programmaticall y set headertext of a boundfield column

Hi,

I am trying to find out if there is a way to set the headertext of the
boundfield column belonging to a detailsview control (ASP.NET 2.0), from
code.

<asp:BoundFie ld HtmlEncode="fal se" DataFormatStrin g="{0:###0.00 }"
DataField="wage _cash" HeaderText='<%# Format_Header(" wage1") %>'
SortExpression= "wage_cash" />

The above example doesn't work:
"Databindin g expressions are only supported on objects that have a
DataBinding event."

I would like to set the headertext within the DetailsView_Pre Render sub,
so that the header displays the current financial year.

I'd prefer not to convert the above to a TemplateField column, because
of the formatting used - DataFormatStrin g="{0:###0.00 }"

Any help (with vb.net examples) would be especially appreciated!

Thanks,

John.

Hello, on my page, I have a DetailsViewControl connected to a SqlDataSource. Now when I dynamically set the FilterExpression and FilterParameters - for example in a OnClick-EventHandler of a button - the DetailsView shows the filtered Data, but Deleting and Updating doesn't work anymore. The DetailsView changes to EditMode, but after clicking on the UpdateButton it shows the old data. Am I missing something or is it just not possible or...

Hi All, I'm currently working on a project, and I've come to a part where I want to add data to a GridView. BUT, I want to do it programmatically, with alot of control over everything. In my particular project I've passed a DataSet to a page via a Session object. The Session object passes without incident, and I can use the default settings to retrieve the information without problem and plug all the information into the GridView.

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
