Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1 but how is this done now in asp.net 2.0?

Help! Need this fixed ASAP.
I have a GridView/DetailsView master/details form set up, with both
bound to separate ObjectDataSource objects. Both the GridView and the
DetailsView have a DataKeyNames parameter of "UserCompany,
BillableCompany". The DetailsView has control parameters for its
select method pointing to these two keys on the GridView. But the
select method function receives two copies of the UserCompany field!
The...

Hi folks
I have a "Search" text box and LinkButton in my master page. When this is
submitted, I do a Server.Transfer to a page which contains a gridview. The
gridview is filtered on a hidden field which I set in the page load method
(from the search text box text).
Now, the grid view appears to filter correctly, however, when I select a
record in the gridview to populate a DetailsView, I loose the original
filter and so the returned...

I still have not gotten this damn thing figured out and I'm asking for help
one last time before I give up on it. I have a user control that contains a
paged gridview control. The master page contains a menu control What I
want to happen is that, whenever a menu item is selected, the appropriate
user control will load. Simple enough? Well, not for me.
I finally got the gridview paging and postback issue resolved thanks to...

Hi all,
I have a gridview populated with data coming from a dataset (created
via the wizard). The data shown in the gridview is dependent on the the
choice of a control (dropdown with autopostback enabled). When I load
the page for the first time I the gridview is empty. When I select
something in the dropdownlist the gridview is populated correctly. I
guess this has something to do with the fact that the first time no
data from the...

I have a gridview on another page with a column that will link to this

My question/challenge, is that I want to use that query string to set
a textbox on the called page, but then need the query string to no
longer be visible in the url espectially after a refersh or other...

Hello,
I'm developing an application with one parent table and 12 child tables.
The parent table is patient information and the children contain such things
as lab results, medications, emergency room visits, etc. I'm trying to
decide how many gridview and sqldatasource controls is too many for one page.
I like the way the user interface works with everything on one page where
they can select a parent record from a gridview control then...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
