I would like suggestions or code examples on how to collect a variable
length list of input data (item# & item quantity specifically).
I thought that I could accomplish this using a GridView that has ViewState
enabled, an ObjectDataSource to process the submitted list, textboxes for
getting new item data and an add button.
Does this approach sound feasible or are there better alternatives?
My problem is that I don't...

I have a GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource. I have a Button that calls
GridView.DataBind. I want the row that is selected before the DataBind to
still be selected afterwards.
This happens automatically if the data doesn't change. But if records have
been added or deleted then it looks as if some code is necessary: I've done
this by using GridView.SelectedValue to get the key value of the currently
selected Row and then by itterating...

an SqlDataSource, then have a value from a boundfield in the row be passed as
the keyfield for select where clause. Im trying to load the ddl with a list
of dates from another table keyed on GridView row field that only apply to

Based on wether a row is selected in a GridView I need to HIDE the last two
columns of a gridview. I do NOT need to make the cells invisible I want to
hide the entire column.
When I set the Visible property on the columns it causes the underlying
ObjectDataSource to re-issue the Select statement.
How can I hide these columns without double clutching the ODS Select?

I have a problem whereby I have a gridview bound to a dataset with a
large number of items, However when I select an item near the bottom by using
the scrollbar, when the gridview gets rebound, the selected field goes off
the screen and is not visible and the user has to use the scrollbar to see
it. How do I set the toprow of the visible gridview to be the selected row

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
