Namespaces and Master Pages

Hello,

We are having issues with namespaces.
Here is what we do:
- We set a namespace for our project and pages (something like
'group.project. component.folde r.subfolder.pag e)
- We add a master page to each and every pages
- When we add some controls to the page, their ID (the short one) is
not recognised by Visual Studio.

Do you have any idea what could be the problem ?

Here is a snipplet of our code:

QQ.aspx.cs (under a EPS/EPSExistant folder):

namespace Dcl.Safir.Simfi .WebUI.EPS.EPSE xistant
{
public partial class QQ : System.Web.UI.P age
{
protected void Page_Load(objec t sender, EventArgs e)
{
Button1.Text = ??
}
}
}

QQ.aspx (under a EPS/EPSExistant folder):

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup ="true" CodeBehind="QQ. aspx.cs"
Inherits="Dcl.S afir.Simfi.WebU I.EPS.EPSExista nt.QQ"
masterpagefile= "~/MasterPages/MP_Test.Master" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dt d">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >

<asp:content id="Content1" runat="server"
contentplacehol derid="ContentP laceHolder1">
<asp:button id="Button1" runat="server" text="Button"
/></asp:content>
</body>
</html>

MP_Test.master (under a MasterPages folder in the root folder)

<%@ Master Language="C#" AutoEventWireup ="true"
CodeBehind="MP_ Test.master.cs"
Inherits="Dcl.S afir.Simfi.WebU I.MasterPages.M P_Test" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dt d">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >

Using 2.0 with Master Pages and a GlobalBaseClass for the content pages. I understand the easy part -- the hierarchical structure of a namespace naming convention -- but the 2.0 IDE does not write a signature for the developer and after getting a good start developing a 2.0 application I thought I should go through the code and start marking classes and with namespaces. I keep getting the following 'missing' error even when using a first...

I'm confused about the proper use and usefulness of namespaces. I beleive I understand the purpose is so the developer can put classes within namespaces to essentially organize your code. And I understand that you declare your intention to use a namespace within a page through the "Inherits" attribute. I know that using "Inherits" isn't absolutely necessary, it's just recommended so the developer doesn't have to type out the entire...

1. What are some compelling solutions for using Master/Content pages with Web Pages? 2. If a content area has a web part zone with web parts, what is the user experience like when "editting" the web part page? Does it take place at the page level? ...or the content area level? 3. Where is the Web Part Manager instantiated? ...in the Master Page? ....Content Page? ...elsewhere?

Ok I am not a programmer, I copied some code and very painfully got it working in VB6. I can adjust the volume with waveOutSetVolume on winmm.dll. But I could not seem to be able to figure out how to adjust the master volume. I thought maybe if I upgraded this into VS2005 VB.Net then it might be a little easier. But now I am getting PInvokeStackImbalance messages on this, and it doesn't even run. We're talking a very little program... A...

Again another simple concept that appears NOT to be intuitive or I'm just stupid. I've read the WROX book and the example doesn't actually show how the .master page links in the other content pages? Kinda sorta a critical point no? Am I missing something? Rob. P.S. the day I find a book that actually is useful rather than just a

In 1.1 I could have two namespaces in the same webgspace. The webspace is on a remote server. I compile the namespaces separately and check them out on localhost and when they are checked-out I FTP them to the remote server. The remote server structure is ... root Web.config /bin one.dll

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
