I have a datagrid with a template column that has a hyperlink and a label.
The hyperlink text is bound to Title from my dataset and the label text is
bound to Author in the dataset. The grid displays with the template columns
showing the Title and the Author from the first row in all rows. The other
none template columns are fine. Obviously I am not understanding something
here. What am I missing?????

I'm reposting my issue with some more info.
I would like to use a DataGrid to display my DataSet.
My DataSet is from a table in a SQL DB.
Both columns in the table are strings.
I would like it to look like the following where the URL column is
clickable.

Hi I have a data grid with a hyperlink column. the colum has numbers like
00001,000002, ect. Just wondering how to get the text value of the cell as
tempstring = datagrid.Items(rownumber).Cells.Item(column number).Text
returns a blank string. It seems to work ok for the other columns that are
just regular datagrid columns, not hyperlink types.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I have a datagrid that is bound to a datasource. The grid has a hyperlink
column and I want to generate the URL using the URL Field and URL Format
String fields in the Property Builder.
The problem I'm running into is trying to generate the URL with more than
one URL Field entry. I need to have more than field but I can't figure out
how to add more than one field in the URL Field textbox. Is it possible?

I have a hyperlink column in my datagrid. I want my hyperlink to be green
or red (depending on in/out status) no matter if the link has been visited
or not. How can I accomplish this? I have tried using CSS but that doesn't
affect what is going on in my datagrid. This is what I have so far for
formatting in my datagrid...
Sub ItemBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e as DataGridItemEventArgs)
If e.Item.ItemType = ListItemType.Item Or...

Using a GridView, I get a "Specified cast is not valid" error when binding
the Visible propery of a hyperlink control to a DataTable text field. The
error goes away if I replace the data binding statement with "true" or
"false". This code causes the error:
<asp:HyperLink ID="HyperLink1"
runat="server"
NavigateUrl='<%#
Eval("c2Hyperlink1Link") %>'
Target="_blank"

Guys I could really use some help with this. I think that it's
probably a simple solution but I haven't been able to find anything.
I have a datagrid on my form that I populate via code like this...
Me.My_DataGrid.Rows.Add(Column1, Column2, Column3)
Well now I have a datagrid that I want to populate with an image.
So for example...

I have a question about spawning and displaying subordinate list controls
within a list control. I'm also interested in feedback about the design of
my search application. Lots of code is at the end of this message, but I
will start with an overview of the problem.
I've made a content management solution for my work with a decently
structured relational database system. The CMS stores articles. The CMS also
stores related items --...

I'm trying to format the data from our database query that is being
binded to a DataGrid. Basically an easy example to understand the
problem is a field in the database uses 1's and 0's to show true or
false but our user doesn't need to see this nor do they understand it
so if it equals 1 then show true etc.
Another issue is I would like to format a field into a hyperlink
based
off the database value. I've experimented with...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
