Hi there

Can you give some more details on what you mean? What do you mean "map"?

Code would help too.

Regards
Ray

i will give a better description:

i have an image and i have built an image mapping in html.(IMG component in
html and a MAP file for areas- hotspots)

each area can be linked to a href but i only retieve a page,

i would like to send a number or a text(different for each area) to a query
and retieve the answer....

so i get the answer for an area i have selected.with the mouse.

how can i send a parameter( knowed) to a query and get the answer ?

is it the best way with vs 2003 (i know we can make mapping in vs 2005 but i
can't use it ) ?

many thanks again !

not sure what you question is.

the default for an imagemap is to post to the specifed url, but you can call
client code. also you can use an image button which does a standard form
post plus sends the x & y offsets.

The href attribute can include parameters as usual that is you could have
map.aspx?id=1 for area 1, map.aspx?id=2 for area 2 etc...

I have a parser I need to optimize. It has some disk IO and a lot of looping over characters. I used the hotspot profiler to gain insight on optimization options. The methods show up on on the top of this list seems fairly trivial and does not look like CPU hogger. Nevertheless I optimized it and have 25% performance gain according to hotspot's number. But the numbers look skeptical. Hotspot claim 71.166 CPU seconds but the actual...

Hello, I have a dll which do some number crunching. Performances (execution speed) are very important in my application. I use VC6 to compile the DLL. A friend of mine told me that in Visual studio 2003 .net optimization were enhanced and that i must gain in performance if I switch to VS 2003 or intel compiler. So I send him the project and he returned a compiled DLL with VS 2003. Result : the VS 2003 compiled Dll is slower than the VC6...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
