about treeview populate on demand

Does any body knows if when using the treeview populate on demand feature
if the whole tree's viewstate is sent back to the server under the hood?
Thanks,
Alex.

So many postings on not to use the treeview control, but nothing recently. Is it safe to swim there yet with Access 2000-Access 2003?

I'm extending TreeView to build a file/directory chooser like the one in NTBACKUP. I've implemented four-state checkboxes; no problem. And I know how to explore files and directories and populate the tree (including populating branches on demand, when the user first expands them, rather than trying to search the entire computer at the beginning). What I'm stuck on is re-entrancy, or multiple paths to the same location.

Hi, I'm trying to populate a TreeView from an existing and filled in ListView (lvwBuild). lvwBuild is a basic two column listview which can have any number of rows. I would like the first column of lvwBuild to be a node and the second column to be a branch on the TreeView (hopefully I have the syntax correct). I've been researching how to do this but have come up empty. I'm guessing that you would fill an array from lvwBuild and...

Hi, I am using a TreeView in an ASP.NET application where I have my nodes update on demand. When I expand a node that has no children and then add a child in my datasource and expand the node again the child node correctly displays. If I add a second one after expanding it will not show up however. It seems like there is some kind of cache in the way or something like that. Is there any way to force a node to repopulate?

Hi, I'm working on a pagination control and I need to dynamically rerender a treeview to display the next set of nodes depending on which page we're on. For example, page 1 will dispaly only nodes 1 to 10, but when the user clicks , the tree will display nodes 11 to 20. Page 1 will is loaded when the page that contains the ascx (parent of the treeview) is loaded. This is all cool. The treeview displays correctly. When I click the ...

When doing a "callback" I normally call a webControl's RenderControl method to get the html for that WebControl. This has always worked great in the past, but it does not seem to work with an asp:treeview control. When I call MyTreeView.RenderControl, the html that I get is not what I expected - it's as if all of the styles and properties that I set on the treeview are not there. Is this a bug in the treeview control?

How to populate a treeview from a dataset I am very new to C#. I need to create a Windows form that will read a SQL table and populate a treeview. I can connect to the DB, create the dataadapter, populate a data set. The problem is how to use the dataset to populate a treeview. I have looked at a few examples here but none use a dataset, or the data structure was different and I could not modify to work with my data or the examples...

Let's say I have a Treeview control on a form. Each leaf node in the Treeview has a ContextMenuStrip, each with one ToolStripMenuItem, and all ToolStripMenuItems Click event is handled by a comment event handler. How do I determine which Treeview Node signalled the menu event in the common event handler?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
