HELP! I have used many HTML editors but have not found one that
handles PHP pages well. Coffee Cup HTML editor used to be my HTML
editor of choice, but it will not open pages with the .php extension
and when I try to add .php as an extension that it will recognize, it
crashes.
ANYWAY, what HTML editor will save pages as .php by default?
I have tried dreamweaver but it won't default to .php either, at least
as near as I can tell.

I'm new to HTML and want to learn the basics by learning to code by hand
(with the assistance of an HTML editor to eliminate repetitive tasks).
Can anyone recommend a good, basic HTML editor that's a step beyond

I'm just wondering what you all use to write and edit your HTML and
organize your websites. I currently use Microsoft Frontpage 2003. Hold
on! Before you all jump on me for using a Microsoft product, hear me
out! :>) Where I used to use Frontpage in WYSISYG mode, I have

I would like to create HTML pages using embedded "markers" which
represent HTML code that is common to all of my pages. I need a utility
which will replace these "markers" with the associated code. This
would be a great way to update banners and navigation bars without
using frames.

I need some sage advice.
For years I have been using a HTML editor (HomeSite 3) to produce crude web
sites, mostly travelogs with text and a few clickable thumbnails leading to
larger images. When I get going I usually produce a marginally navigable
mess with sub pages and sub-sub pages.

If auto-format is turned off in VS2008, there is apparently no way to
indent a line. Under Tools->Options->Text Editor->C#->Formatting,
there are three checkboxes. Unchecking those seems to cause this
behavior.
I'd simply like to have the tab key insert a tab at the beginning of a
line. I believe that there were publlished macros for doing this in
earlier VS versions, but I expected this to be 'fixed' in VS2008. Yes,

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
