Need help using ASPNETDB.MDF and login controls

I deployed a new ASP.NET 2.0 web site to a remote IIS 6.0 server. I simply
copied the web site folders to the home directory local path for the web
site. everything works except the login control features that depend on
ASPNETDB.MDF. Can someone tell me what may be needed to get those features
working on the remote server?

Thanks,

Keith

I'm having trouble creating a simple login page using the asp:login control. I followed some instructions in a WROX book, "Beginning ASP.NET 2.0," and the instructions are very straight forward, but it won't work for me. Here's what I did. 1. Created a new folder named "testlogin" 2. Turned that folder into an application using the IIS properties 3. Created two new web form pages, /testlogin/default.aspx and /testlogin/login.aspx...

Works great on my client when I test from vs.net 2005. Howevever, when I deploy to the web server, I get this error: remotely and local from the web server. An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. Hello all, Just wanted to get some clarification on something. I was setting out to create a login page for people to login and then be able to access certain aspects of the website. Instead of doing what I usually do which is store the username password in a db table then compare what the user enters from the text boxes to what's in the db, I thought I would try the login components from the toolbox. In looking at how to wire those...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
