User sizeable panel/table

Does anyone know if you can create a panel or a table that a user can
"resize" within the browser window just as they would a window?

Thanks!

Hello Jason,

Not exactly what you're asking for but this will show you how to do
moveable, sizeable windows in the browser using dhtml and javascript. For
source look here:
http://www.dhtmlcentral.com/script/script.asp?id=16

for a quick demo to see if this is what you want, look here:

brians,

Thanks for the link! This is what I was looking for, it's just taking
me a while to go through his code, striping out the parts I don't
need/want and making it look non-ugly.

The javascript is pretty involved for me since I haven't done much
javascripting, but I'm making my way through it.

Thanks again!

Could someone please help me with some validation. I have to write code which checks to see whether a dropdown list is populated with a value or a checkbox is checked. I want the code to run on the on-click of a button. My page has 1 dropdown list and two checkboxes. So I either want the user to choose an item from the dropdownlist OR tick a checkbox(it doesn't matter if they tick both checkboxes). I can't allow the user to fill in the...

I'm trying to create a user control which will act as a menu list for users to click on. All the user control consists of is a panel, a table within the panel, 1 tablerow and multiple table cells for a horizontal look. However, the tablecells inside the usercontrol cannot be found ("Object not set to an instance of an object"). If I implement the same code within the page itself, without the usercontrol, it works fine. Here is my html:

I would like to use a user control as a template inside a repeater. Some of the fields in the control should be hidden depending on whether or not there is data. I'm still a ASP .Net newbie so the way I'm going about doing this might be a little off. I'd appreciate some help. Below is the code I have thus far but I'm not sure how to reference the user control within the foreach loop. <asp:Panel ID="pnlRosterProfile" runat="Server" />

I need to create a table user control. The table will display many cells so this control requires scrollbars should be displayed when some cells cannot be displayed. At first, I draw the table on a UserControl, and resized the UserControl to the exact size of table and placed it on a Panel whose AutoScroll is true. So when the table(actually a UserControl) gets bigger, the Panel displays scrollbars automaticaly, this seemed fine. But...

I have setup a Panel to have a width of 100% so that it will adjust to users screensize. Within the panel I have a table. Unfortunately the table holds a lot of data and exceeds the size of the screen. The panel has a height of 350px and the scrollbar is set to auto so that both scrollbars appear when needed. What is happening is that due to the table exceeding the width of the screen the panel is also enlarging its width larger than...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
