I have not gotten a response on the Report Services discussion group, so I
thought I would try here.
In a nutshell, I am using VS Studio 2005 Standard along with SQL Server 2005
Standard. I have a report viewer on one page that properly displays a
report. The problem is that the print button is not showing on the toolbar.
I checked and the properties indicate YES for the print button.
I have searched the internet and cannot find...

Hi,
In my application VB.NET 2005 application I placed a ReportViewer, and link
it to a server-report:
Me.ReportViewer1.ProcessingMode =
Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ProcessingMode.Remote
Me.ReportViewer1.ServerReport.ReportPath =
"/myproject/DemandeDeCotation"
Me.ReportViewer1.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl = New
System.Uri("http://myserver/reportserver2005", System.UriKind.Absolute)

Does anybody know why the Print button on the report viewer toolbar (VS2005)
only shows for remote reports and not Local?
Is there a way to get a print function(button) on the toolbar for local
reports?
if not what is required to get the remote reports setup and working?
thanks
Phil B

I'm trying to get the VS 2005 ReportViewer (not crystal reports) to work in
a windows form application.
This is my small test project:
- Created a windows form application
- Added new item to the project: report (report1.rdlc)
- Dragged a textbox to the report design form. (Typed "test" in the box)
- Dragged a ReportViewer object to the main form and made a link to the
report (report1.rdlc)

Evening,
I've got a highly irritating bug with the reportviewer control that
appears to be a show-stopper for one of our bigger applications we're
writing.
When I try and print more than 1 page of any given report, I the
application hangs, a Window comes up saying "printing page 2 of y", and
after a period of waiting for the mysterious page to print, VS2005
throws the following error:

Hello,
I need to print a report from the VS2005 Reportviewer control. My problem
is that I need to print to a tractor feed (dotmatix like) printer that is not
the default printer - for printing mailing labels (thousands of them). I can
set all the settings from the pagelayout button of the Reportviewer at
runtime, but that is a real hassel - set the margins, paper orientation,
papersize, printername. I tried using a deviceInfo type...

I have a reportViewer object looking at a remote report. The good news
is that I can press the PDF or Print button, and the report coems out
just fine. I can also go to the report URL directly, and it works just
fine. However, with the report viewer on my page, I cannot see
anything.
The report viewer has no specific settings other than the items listed
below:
<rsweb:ReportViewer ID="ReportViewer1" runat="server"

Hi,
I just started using Visual Web Developer Express 2005.
I need to print a dataset that is populated from a fixed length text
file. No problem with this part.
So I am trying to use a ReportViewer to do the printing.
I searched and searched and I only saw the ReportViewer used with an
ObjectDataSource bound to a "Website data source" defined at design
time for the report.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
