Hi all,
I'm working on the schema for a database that must represent data about stock
& bond funds over time. My connundrum is that, for any of several dimension
fields, including the fund name itself, the dimension may be represented in
different ways over time, and may split or combine from one period to the
next.
When querying from the database for an arbitrary time period, I need the data
to be rolled up to the smallest extent...

I have two tables with 5000 entries on them. One is based for regular time
with several variables example (employee name, date, time in and out, code,
customer, building) I have another table that works with overtime but has
the same feilds within the table. I want to be able to run a report that
combines the regular time and overtime for the warehouse and seperated by
each customer. I have tried join tables but I keep ending with, (if it...

We have set up an Access database with tables x,y, & z where we would
like to have multiple people entering data into a table x. Each person
has an identical copy of the database on their PC's. When the person
is done entering the data into table x, we want them to e-mail their
database to one person who will combine the data from table x into a
single database.
What's the easiest method to combine the tables into a single table?

Hi,
I have two DataTables (our DataViews or whatever that will suit the best for
the solution). I want to merge these two DataTables the fastest as possible,
but they have to be merged one table after the others: First all the recors
of DataTable1, and afterwarths the records of DataTable2.
Does anybody has any idea how to do this? The purpose it that it goes as
fast as possible! DataTable2 can have up to 15.000 records, DataTable1...

No errors here, I'm just looking for ways to make my code more
efficient. As the subject line suggests, I have a LOT of repeaters on a
certain page. They are visible or hidden depending on user actions and
are dispersed about the page via an "image map" style of GUI. The code
behind (and associated aspx) is below, you'll note that they all pull
from the same table and all virtually identical except for ID's and what
data they pull. How can...

I have written a program to hold a sales contact db. It is written in c#
express.
an update is sent from head office in xl format, i need to import only the
new rows to an access database.
I have gotten this far:
a separate OleDbconnection to each source, which reads the entire data
source (select *) into the same dataset, but different tables.

I have 2 datatables. They are identical. I want to compare them by
cell's content. They are all same.
But dt1 == dt2 or
dt1.GetHashCode() == dt2.GetHashCode() doesn 't work.
There are big amount of rows in theese datatables . So i don 't want
to enumerate each rows. This is not efficient and unacceptable for my
current application.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
