System.DllNotFo undException: Unable to load DLL (ws2_32.dll).

I have a asp .net application talking to some remoting objects.
application hosting remoting objects runs on the same machine.
From a last couple of days I have started getting
System.DllNotFo undException: Unable to load DLL (ws2_32.dll).
error when I run my asp.net application.

Does anyone have any clue about this.

Hello, We developed a DLL using C++ and I am calling the methods on the DLL using p/Invoke from managed code. The application runs well both as a console application and as a Windows Service application on Windows 2000 machine. But on windows 2003 server (Standard Edition), only console application runs but not the windows service application. The error message I am getting is "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL". I gave...

Hi, I have implemented the ASP.Net Ihttphandler interface. Handler references the mixed dll (both managed/unmanaged code) that contains core C++ classes wrapped under managed c++ wrappers. ASP.NET worker process, sometimes while loading the handler and mixed dll associated with it, throws System::DLLNotFoundException. I have verified that all required Dlls are in the system path. I have the handler version up and running perfectly but...

When running my asp.net hosting service (asp.net without IIS), on server 2003 with IIS not installed, I get the following when trying to process a request. "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (aspnet_isapi.dll)." Of course the dll is able to be found, it's still in the framework directory and for grins I even put it in my service's local directory. This is apparantly server 2003 not allowing asp.net to be run if IIS was not...

I have an older program written in vb6. This program calls a dll written in fortran. I have taken the time to re-write the program in vb.net (1.1 framework), though i'm still calling the fortran dll. Everything works fine when ran on a pc with XP. However, whenever I try to run it on Vista I get an errormessage "system.dllnotfoundexception" when it tries to call the dll. I'm using Public Declare Sub Lib "myDLL.dll" ()

I'm trying to build a exe on a vista system using py2exe. It will deploy to vista and XP systems. If it matters, the application uses pyserial, as well. I have VS Studio 2005 installed on this laptop as well. I've found this so far that seems to be identical to what I'm seeing (for non-python programs): http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread611031.html When I attempt to run, I get "The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
