I posted this earlier, and got no response. Basically I need to be able to
grab a value from one of the fields in a gridView to populate a dropdown in
another column of the gridview:
I have a gridView that has 2 templated columns that contain drop-down lists.
The first drop down list uses a value off of a formview on the same page for
filtering. The 2nd drop-down is supposed to use the value off the first
drop-down for it's...

I have a Grid that I've set up to have two of the fields use
dropdownlists while in edit mode. Now I can bind the data to the
dropdownlists just fine. My problem is that the second dropdown depends
on the first dropdown to pass a parameter to it. If I have a
selectedvalue set to the second drop down, when i select a new value
from the first drop down it gives me this error.
"Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can...

I have two tables I'm editing in a Gridview. The VANS table contains a key to
the other LESSOR table. I would like to use a dropdown list to select the
LessorId value while displaying the Lessor table's "Company" field as text.
When I commit the edit I get error:Must declare the scalar variable
"@LessorId".
Also as a bonus question ;) I don't know how to set the selectedindex value
in the dropdown list based on the LessorId value in the...

Hi all,
I am working on a .net 2.0 web app.
On page load I display a gridview with a drop down list (Employees),
when the user selects from the drop down list, the grid view is filled
with the dates the employees are working.
I then want to push a button that adds a new column to the gridview, a
new Employees drop down list appears, and again the user selects the

I have a query similar to this: "Select ProductID, ProductName,
ProductDescription where MFGID = @MFGID". I use a Drop Down List populated
with the MFGID's to populate the @MFGID variable. My question is, using
this technique, is there a way to say "Return all Manufactures"? If not,
any suggestions on a good technique for this?

I have a GridView populated by an ObjectDataSource.
I am having issues passing the parameters to the objectdatasource. I
have verified that the method is being called but none of the
parameters are being populated. Integers are being passed as 0 and
strings are empty regardless of what I changed them to in Edit mode on
the GridView.
My object method to perform the update:

Hi. I have a read only GridView. For each row I want to display a drop down
list which contains a list of actions the user can select from for that
particular row. E.g. "view details". When they select an action in the drop
down list I want to do a post back. How will I know which row they made the
selection in?
Is there a way to embed the row Id in the drop down list so it gets sent
back to the server?
Thanks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
