Using objEncoderParam s when saving an image

I'm currently saving a JPG file as such:

imgOutput.Save( "path/filename.jpg", System.Drawing. Imaging.ImageFo rmat.Jpeg)

That saves the imgOutput as a JPG to the path shown.

Works fine.

Now, I'd like to change the JPG compression it uses. I apparently can do
that with an EncoderParamete r:

Dim objEncoderParam s As New EncoderParamete rs(1)
objEncoderParam s.Param(0) = New EncoderParamete r(Encoder.Quali ty, 500)
imgOutput.Save( "path/filename.jpg", *encoder*, objEncoderParam s)

What I'm stuck on is the 'encoder' value. What do I put there to? I assume I
need to tell it to use the JPG encoder, right? If so, I'm stuck on the
syntax.

Well, that leaves me with the same question, I think. The key line being:

bmp.Save(fileNa me, jpegCodecInfo, codecParams);

I'm stumped as to what the 'jpegCodecInfo' is. How do I set that?

Hi, I need some expert GDI+ person to help me with my RoundOffImage Function: What I'm trying to do is take in an image, crop off the edges around an ellipse region I set up, and then return the cropped image from the function. I sort of have this working, but not thoroughly. If I take the output image of this function and draw it on my form it shows the clipped image as transparent as I am wanting it. But if I take that image and...

Hello All, I'd like your comments on the code below. The sub does exactly what I want it to do but I don't feel that it is solid as all. It seems like I'm using some VB6 code, .Net2003 code, and .Net2005 code. I'm developing in vb.net 2005. This test sub just reads an input text file, writing out records to another text file, eliminating records that have a '99' in them (it is similar to a CSV file). Some of my concerns are:

hi, This is my first post in this forum and I just wanted to thank you for even taking a look at my post. The class that I am writing the C code for is my first computer class and my knowledge is limited to what was taught in lectures. Right now I am making a GUI code and am having trouble saving the image after it has been altered. As of now, the only way that I know how to save is to save over the original picture, but that doesn't even...

Whilst I am resizing images I am losing quality. This is only happening in small amounts, but if you repeatedly put the same image through the following code, the image quality slowly degrades. Can anyone spot why this may be happening? Should it only deteriate once upon intitially going through this procedure? The deterioration is subtle, but after a few iterations is quite noticeable..: private static System.Drawing.Image...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
