All rights to the server, still "ACCESS DENIED" when trying to debug

Helolo,

I have an ASP.NET application on a Windows 2003 Server machine WITHOUT VS.
I am working on an XPPro machine with VS 2003. I have installed the remote
debugging components on the server. Aside from having administrative
rights, I have also put myself in the Debugger Users group. I have added
ASPNET and even IUSR_SERVERNAME to the Debuggers group (don't worry, it's a
dev server not a live machine) and I still get "Access Denied" when I try to
run the debugger from my machine.

I have run the gammut of help topics found on the internet and on microsoft,
HTTP Alives are set, Windows Authentication, Running in the default app
pool, running in a separate app pool, giving the app pool different user
names to test, setting permissions on the Temporary ASP.net file folder and
even adding the NETWORK SERVICE permissions and Debugger Users to the MDM
DCom. STill...I get access denied. I've rebooted, both machines, every
time, still access denied.

Anyone have this issue? What worked for you? I'm sure there will be a lot
of responses that I've already heard, but then again maybe not, so any input
will be valid.

Thanks!
Rick

Glad if any help or suggestion is given Javascript will give me a pop-up error "Access is denied" when i try to load a simple xml file, which is in the server machine itself. The script is within a JSP page running apache tom-cat. I am running it with IE6 from an windows administrative acc straight on the server so there shouldn't be any access prob.

I'm getting the error "HTTP Error 403.1 - Forbidden: Execute access is denied" when I try to reach my ASPX pages. Before I go giving Windows permissions to my docroot, etc., I want to understand what users or, preferably, groups, need to have what permissions for basic operation of ASP.NET 2.0. And specifically WHAT permissions should I give these users?

I have a .Net web service (written for 1.1 Framework using C#) running on Windows 2003 with all latest patches. To help monitor the service, the code creates several performance counters. One server (this is a farm) I receive the following exception when trying to create the performance counters. We had an earlier issue where the ASPNET user account did not have the 'Performance Monitor' group. The exception was an access denied when trying...

Hello, If I loop through all the processes on my machine, for some processes I get "Access Denied" when trying to read the file name associated with the process. Also some other properties are not visible. Why is this and how can I get around this? If I cannot get around it, how can I get a process associated with a certain file name? To be more specific I need the prcoess ID. The process name is not unique so I think I have to use...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
