Hello,
I have some trouble with designing my GUI for an application.
I need to draw a certain shape (circle, rectangle) on a JPanel which follows
the mouse move on that JPanel.
Well the problem is the background. I should be transparent and only showing
the current shape.
I used the paintComponent() method to draw the shape and a
mouseMotionListener for realising the move- effects.
On runtime, it paints many shapes (one for each mouse...

I would like to create a pulldown menu which is
semi-transparent....that is, you can see the text and graphics behind
it when it is pulled down. The effect I'm looking for can be seen at
http://www.countrywide.com. Are there any good tutorials which can
show me how to do this with CSS?

I have a method i found for setting the background of a bitmap
transparent but its slow must be an easier way than saving the image
then setting all the pixels to the background color. I tried
graphics.Clear and the transparent color but no luck, anybody got any
suggestions?.

My application have some level :
1. MyButton class with Label inheritance
2. MyComponent as User Control loading and positionning some of
MyButtons
3. MyApp loading and positionning MyComponent
I prefer don't insert a background in MyComponent, and using the MyApp
one as general background with MyComponent positionned, but I am not
able to have MyComponent background transparent.

Hello All,
I am using the ASP.NET 2.0 menu control and would like to make its
background transparent, so that the page's background image can be seen
through it. I haven't found an obvious way to do this. Does anyone have any
ideas?
TIA,

items goes away..

If in my CSS I set the "background-color" property on the "body"
element, it only covers the background of the elements defined in the
body, up to the current width and height of the page. However, if the
current component set has a resulting small height, this leaves most
of the page with the original background color (white).
However, if I set the property on the "html" element instead, it does
color the entire visible page, beyond the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
