We have numerous pages that store datasets in Session. Sometimes these are
used for one page, sometimes for a few (ex. - search page looks up your info,
edit person page edits that info)
What i'd like is a way to get rid of these session variables when we no
longer need them. We originally trie putting cleanup code in Unload but then
realized unload gets called after every page hit, including postbacks, so it
wipes out data the active...

and loaded in the memory of aspnet_wp , so that would mean more distinct

I have an app that I can't seem to clear out server resources with a button
onclick event:
The session variables seem to be disappearing properly, but the
aspnet_wp.exe process stays where it had been upon running a heavy data
query. At a normal standstill it's at about 30-40MB and even after the code
below runs, it's up at 110MB.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I store dataset for each page in the session and a reference to the session
key is stored in viewstate. But now on which event I should clear the
session variables. Because when the page is closed or I navigate to another
page the session variables still stays as long as even a single page remains
open of that application

Hi All,
The old topic: Session variables desappear.
I cannot understand it! And it's driving me crazy!!
So most of my aspx pages works just fine, but only 2 pages decide that
after they are sent to the client, they clear all the session
variables.
I even wrote a log file to see before page_load and after page_load,
