editing in datagrid. Changing default focus

Hi,

I have implemented a datagrid where users can change the value of one column.
But I have a problem, when a user clicks the 'edit' button and the column to
edit changes into a text box. If the user then changes the text and hits
enter, onclick on the text box is executed. Can I change it to 'update' link.

So that when user finished changing the text in the text box and hits enter.
The 'update' link will be clicked.

How can I do that? Any help?

Is there a way to use your own image in place of the automatic one that ASP uses when doing editing in your DataGrid pages? We already have a style of button we are using and would like to be consistant. Thanks, Tom.

I was going through an article on datagrid control in ASP.NET and found the use of databind a bit confusing. So the default behavior in a editable datagrid row is to show a Update and a Cancel Button when a user wants to edit the datagrid. What I found confusing was the use of databinding when this cancel button is pressed. When we are pressing the Cancel button we are not changing the datasource...then why do we need to re-bind the web...

I have a DataGrid control for which I have also created several new extended DataGridColumnStyles. They behave pretty nicely, but I can't figure out how to implement Selected Item formatting for them. In a plain vanilla DataGrid, when you click on the RowHeader, the appropriate row changes colors. I ASSUME this should be done in the Paint (or PaintText) override of the DataGridColumnStyle in question. My problem is that I don't know...

hello, I have a form with a datagrid and combo box. When the form loads up, i want the focus to be on the combo box. however, whenever it loads up, the focus is always on the datagrid. in the Form.Load, i tried both combo.focus() and combo.select(), neither of them will take the focus away from the datagrid and put it on the combo box. Anyone know how to do this? Kevin

I have a DataGrid on my Form, and I wish to disable any cell editing. For example; when the user clicks on a cell, the cell become editable by changing its color to gray and context menu is shown on muse right mouse click. I do not want the enable this cell context menu (I have my own context menu) and I do not want the cell to change it's color. I want that on any click - the entire row will be selected. There are some other cases where...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
