It is FUBAR isn't it? I can't stand looking at all the squiggly red lines
and I still want to use XHTML. I am confused.

I'm testing Visual Studio 2005 for design of pages that are XHTML 1.1 Strict compliant and have found a few problems. Wondering if anyone can suggest a workaround or if it is an issue Microsoft will be correcting. First, My page <head> tag has the runat="server" attribute, and any <link> tags within it do not render the tag as auto-closing ( <tag /> ). In my source, I did write it as an auto-closing tag, and if I remove the...

I'm using Visual Studio to build ASP.Net pages and I'm trying to be standards compliant by using XHTML. In my page I create valid XHTML such as: <ul> <li>first list item</li> <li>second list item<br /> includes a line break</li> </ul>

I am currently in the process of making an existing ASP .Net 1.0 compliant with 2.0. It has been kind of frustarting. Beginning with making the existing html tags compliamnt with xhtml. It complains about the casing of the tags! where is the intellisense to detect it, and fix it? Then, there is the src of an image that does not find. When I bring the dialog box and want to point to the source does not even display all the files inside the...

Hi, Firstly, I have not the slightest intention of using framesets - the reason for this post is merely to ask for assistance in furthering my understanding of XHTML. I was under the impression that XHTML fully supports framesets, hence the Frameset document type. Therefore, can anyone please tell me why the following markup doesn't validate correctly in VS.NET 2005?

The validation for the XHTML syntax in webform in visual studio 2005 running on windows vista is not working properly. It is very slow (10 minutes of waiting when changing the syntax) or is not working at all (no error shown, but there is errors). Any idea

I have a 2 form project in VS2005 that now hangs whenever I try to do anything with the second form. This seems to have started when I added some SQL tables from a Pervasive v.9 database using the Pervasive ODBC driver. The devenv.exe process hangs and will not respond with about 50% cpu usage and about 100 megs of memory used. I am running it on an Athlon 64 bit dual core with 32 bit Windows XP pro. I have 2 megs of memory so I don't...

How do I make Xhtml 1.0 strict or Xhtml 1.1 strict appear in the Visual Studio 2005 dropdown? How do I add a Xhtml 1.0 strict to the dropdown in visual studio 2005? I have used the default selection XHTML 1.0 Transistional. I have added <xhtmlConformance mode="Strict" /> in the web.config.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
