Preventing "Validation " errors in vs.net error list?

When I compile my application if there are any .net coding errors they show
up fine in the error list in VS.NET 2005 following my attempt to compile.
However there are also a ton of other errors about the html not being
transitional. I'm not worried about those right now. Is there a way to
suppress those so I only get "real" asp.net errors and not html markup
errors?

Thanks,

Steve

Note: My XML experience to date has (unfortunately) been limited to reading and thinking, rather than implementation. Anyway, I am in the process of trying to figure out the most efficient way to validate and transform some very large (potentially over 100MB) XML documents. This is related to another question I will post next, but for now, I want to focus on one particular topic. The data in question has particular business rules...

Hello, I have a (java) DOM object that adheres to an XML schema. I want to manipulate it in code, but to ensure that the object still sticks to the schema (ie, validation during the life-cycle of the DOM object, not just upon initial parsing). Is this possible? My investigation so far has revealed that DOM3 does provide validation mechanisms for this, but no current parsers implement them. I've picked up on something called the...

I'm running into a problem with schema validation. For some reason, if a schema has an xs:all section to it, it does not validate correctly. It seems to treat it as a sequence. My understanding is that switching to an xs:all should not require that the child elements be in any particular order - yet that is exactly the error I am seeing. I've tested this on both .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 and I get the same error. The XML validates against...

When I build my web site, I receive several "Postion: is not a known css property" errors. I did some digging and now understand that if I change the IDE to validate to CSS2.1 instead of the default CSS1.0 that the errors will go away. I cannot, however, figure out how to make that change. Anybody? Thanks

Hi I have a combobox on a form which gets it's Row Source from a table. I then use an Append Query to save the selected data in the combobox to a file. Everything works fine. The Combobox's "Limit to List" property is set to No, thus the user can edit the text in the combobox. However, the append query gives a "validation rule violations" if you change the text in the combobox. If you restore the original text in the combobox, the...

Hi, I program in asp.net. I have a date in TextBox in format "dd/MM/yyyy". I would like to validate if the date is realy correct. I used RegularExpressionValidator with ValidationExpression="//", but user can write date "31/02/2000" and validator says that it is correct (everybody know that Febuary has 28 or 29 days).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
