For all Microsoft's blah about C# and VB being completely mixable and
interchangeable, I recommend for anyone who can still take this
advice:
DO NOT MIX VB AND C# PROJECTS IN THE SAME SOLUTION!
The compiler simply goes to pieces when it is confronted with the
combination of a VB project (A) referencing a C# project (B) that
references another VB project (C)

I get an Internal complier error when compiling C# windows project that uses
a custom
Class add as reference to the project. The problem appears to be related to
the ENUM type used in the class controland where the windows project attempts
to call the custom class property set\get a specific value using enum values
from the custom class.

Hi,
my VC.NET 2003 IDE hangs for hours when compiling my ATL7-project. It
seams to compile fine and starts linking. This look OK to. But right
before the component registration ("Performing registration" below) it
hangs for hours. After this it looks to be finished with no errors.
But I looked in the generated BuildLog.htm file and it looks like
regsvr32 returns some error. The environment reports "error PRJ0019",
but I don't think

I am using filemon to look at what VC7.1 does while compiling project
A.
And I see that devenv.exe is accessing a lot of files of ALL my

I have a project with many References to other projects of mine (data access
layer projects, for instance). When I compile a data access layer project,
the Reference in the parent project goes stale (yellow icon) when the parent
project is concurrently open (two VS instances).
I have been manually deleting the stale Reference and re-adding the
Reference in the concurrently open parent project.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
