Are you referring to this? http://ajaxpro.schwarz-interactive.de/
It should be in the "Orcas" time frame (the version of VS that is aimed for
Vista development), if I am guessing correctly. I believe there will be a Go
Live before final release, however.

AJAX is part of next release of VS after 2005 (orcas), currently targeted
about 18 mounths from now. a beta release is available for vs2005 (but no go
live license is available). whether MS will release a go live license beta
before orcas is your guess.

I talked with one of the Altas team members last week.
There is no release date currently set for Atlas.
The project is still very much in flux and the release date depends on the
final feature set, which has not been decided upon yet.
The positive side of this is that they are still open to feature suggestions
if you have any.

Hi Guys,
As we wall know Atlas is a fairly new feature everyone is talking
about (atleast at my school). Even though the idea of Ajax has been used in
the past i was wondeing if anyone could explain a few things to me.
Comparing the performance of both asp.net client call backs and Atlas which
is faster? Do they necessarily do the same things? Are there things Atlas
can do that client callbacks can't? Secondly, even though there is a Atlas...

Hi all,
I am in a such situation that requires before Atlas do the
Partical/Atlas postback, a Client-Side JavaScript has to be executed
first, once the JavaScript execute successfully, the Partical/Atlas
postback should be fired.
I try to do like this in code behind,

I have a grid control (inherits from Placeholder) that has a few
buttons on it. On this grid there is a filter form, which allows the
user to filter/search the table for specific information. My problem
is, that the order in which the event gets called. What is basically
happening is that the control is instantiated, I call my initialize
method, then I wait for the user to call GenerateGrid, in case they
wanted to make any last minute...

I have essentially copied the samplelist2.aspx from the Atlas samples but

Here is my aspx code:

I have an asp.net app using Atlas (july ctp) written from an example I
found at the 4guysfromrolla.com site. It's very much like the examples
I find at this site. I have pasted the body of the aspx page below.
As you can see it has the ScriptManager the page and then, inside an
UpdatePanel
it has a GridView and a datasource. The app runs but anytime an action
is taken such as a page change or an update it causes a normal klunky...

Hi All,
I'm new to Atlas and I did some programming using AJAX, but I'm
wondering if it is possible to hava a javascript which can call a
server-site function, in my case to write data to the cache, using
AJAX. So I'm not looking for a possibility to wrap-up controls, but
just to call server-site code from ATLAS.
I know this can be done using AJAX, so in my opinion this should also
be possible using ATLAS, or can ATLAS just be used...

Hi.
I think I have some conceptual questions here. I have an asp.net web
application up and running and now I intend to use Atlas on some of my
pages. I have read that after installing Atlas, I need to create a
specific Atlas project. But what I need is to just adapt Atlas on
existing pages, so my questions are: Can I simply add Atlas controls
like UpdatePanel on an existing web application page? If so, do I need
to adjust some kind of...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
