Time Tracker Starter Kit for ASP.NET 2.0 Performance (Survey)

I have been studying the Time Tracker Starter Kit for ASP.NET 2.0 and I
think is a really interesting sample application but I wonder if the
design is appropriate for middle size and enterprise size applications.
I am developing an application that will run on the internet and that
will be use by approximately 300 employees concurrently.

Do you think that the design in the Time Tracker Starter Kit will be
adequate for my application in terms of performance and security?

Many times we have a bunch of enums we have from either different enums or the same enum that will have various numeric values assigned. Rarely will there be collisions in numbering between the enums. These enums you might imagine would be like OrderPrice=27, OrderQuantity=50, OrderSide=62. There may be a lot of these. So normally what we would have to do is store these in hash table so hashtable=value could be set with the value....

The Issue Tracker Starter Kit is a free application produced by Microsoft which illustrates best-practices when building ASP.NET 1.1 applications. Both VB.NET and C# source code is available for download. The Issue Tracker works with both Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access. You can download the Issue Tracker Starter Kit (including all source code)...

Hi all: If you think that the following comments are absolute amateurish, then please bear with me, or simply skip this thread. A couple of months back I made the decision to initiate a gradual upgrade of my web programming skills from Classic ASP / VBS to ASP.NET / VB.NET. While the study of the language differences and all the new features in .NET has so far not been a traumatic experience, I am a bit shell-schocked after

I know SQL server is the way to go but I feel rip by my ISP when they give me 3Gb of storage without MS SQL Server support, unless I pay $15 dollars a month more, on the other hand I can use Access with ODBC for free. I'm trying to port my existing PHP website to ASP.NET. Since this website is for a none profit org. PHP and MySQL hosting is very affordable. My next question would be: is it worth the time to adopt ASP.NET technology just to...

Hello, I just read this mail by Brett Cannon: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-dev/2006-October/069139.html where the "PSF infrastracture committee", after weeks of evaluation, recommends using a non open source tracker (called JIRA - never heard before of course) for Python itself. Does this smell "Bitkeeper fiasco" to anyone else than me? --

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
