Hi-
I'm having problems with the following stored procedure. Below
first I have the stored proc, then I have the asp code that calls it.
Randomly it won't insert the order into the database and a way out of
sequence order id is returned. My connection string looks like this:
Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=192.168.1.2;Initial
Catalog=myDatabase;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Persist Security
Info=True;User Id=myUser;Password=myPassword

Hi,
I have a table with 10M records and col A has a index created on it.
The data on that table has the same value for col A on all 10M
records. After that I insert diferent values for that column but my
queries do not use the index I created for that column.
Is there any way I can force the usage of the index or to ommit a
value on the index creation, like 0 (zeroes) or spaces?
Thanks in advance,
André Queiroz

Hello,
I am trying to isolate some performance issues.
The database is DB2 v8.1 running on a Win2000 server with 4 processors and
1gb of RAM.
The application is a GIS application that uses ADO to access the database.
It was not written specifically for DB2 and I think almost all queries are
running as dynamic queries. The performance issue arise when users are

I have a class provided by Microsoft.solutions.framework which is
derived from CollectionBase. I have inherited from this class as I
wished to modify the constructor sightly.
The problem that I have is that I seem to be adding the product
objects into the base as when I check the list the count is being
incremented. however when I try to retrieve any of the objects via
enumeration there is no data being retrieved.
There is probably...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
