We have an existing ActiveX control that plots data points over an
image. When the mouse is moved over these points, a tool tip is
supposed to be displayed indicating information about the point.
This control is already deployed in an unmanaged application and works
correctly there. We have been attempting to re-use it in a .Net forms
based application and have gotten all other aspects to work except the
tooltips.

I am trying to display a user control contained within an c++ assembly in
internet explorer.
When I create an equivalent user control in c#, it displays just fine.
Before I get into specifics, is it possible to do the same with a c++ user
control or is this another example of c++ being a second class citizen in
..NET?

We are using a user control and a HttpHandler to display an image in a grid.
The images are stored in a RDBMS. Here is the approach that we use in brief.
The cells are added to the grid in the page load. One of the cell is the
control. The control Response.Writes an img tag. The src for the img tag is
"something.img". Now we have a HttpHandler for *.img, the hander reads the
image from DB and does a Response.BinaryWrite. Everything...

Hi,
I have a HttpHandler (Thumbnail.axd) that output Thumbnail images). The
problem is that all the output images being gerneated in the browser all
takes the same name "Thumbnail.axd.gif"
How do you make the httphandler so that it outputs a name base on a
parameter I pass in like so... "Thumbnail.axd?filename=myname"?

I have a performance issue related to HttpHandlers.
I've written a photo gallery application that uses HttpHandlers to
manage a virtual URL to my thumbnails. When I render the document with
the actual thumbnail URLs, the images appear to load instantly. When
using the HttpHandler, it looks as if the images are loaded one at a
time -- as if the HttpHandler execution is serialized. I assume this
is caused by ASP.NET processing the request...
