Hi,
I have seen this problem is a couple of other places in the group but
can't find an answer to it.
Basically I have as aspx file that opens properly in Opera but not in
IE. IE gives a scripting error stating Error Expected ';'. This is
in VB.NET. If I change the script to C# I get Error Expected '}'.
When I look at the source of what is actually returned to IE it is

Hi,
I'm building a web service which connects to a database. I have
hardcoded the connection string in the web service source code (an
asmx.cs file).
Is this a mistake? Is there someplace else I should put the database
connection string or just the password?
BTW, is it a bad idea to leave .asmx.cs files on the web server? I

I think I may have an IIS / ASP.Net Configuration issue that I need some
guidance with resolving.
Here's the problem:
a) I have a .stm file.
b) I referenc a .aspx file on this .stm file using a server-side-include
directive:
<!-- include virtual="../../foobar.aspx"-->
c)When the .stm file is rendered: The .aspx file is included, but it doesn't
look like the ASP.NET engine is processing the page, because I see the raw

The aspx file was originally default.aspx, but I'm putting some other
aspx files in that same virtual directory and I want to give it a more
meaningful name. I renamed default.aspx in the IDE to
CorporateSelectStates.aspx, and the file default.aspx.vb was renamed to
CorporateSelectStates.aspx.vb.
Now when I try to build, I get an error saying "The file
/CrystalReportsWebApplication1/Default.aspx.vb does not exist"
It refers to line 1...

Hi
In asp.net 2.0 an aspx files .cs file is a partial class and all works fine,
however,
I thought I’d be able to create another class file, call it a partial class
and have
that compile and load as a 3rd partial class. This would be handy so i can
generate
standard code into one of the partial classes, while having my custom code
untouched

All-
I have established an adodb recordset in my code-behind, and I need to
pass it to the aspx file. I can't seem to figure out if there is a way
to do this. I see you can pass a string over using the
GetCallbackResult, but a recordset won't pass this way.
Any ideas???
Thanks

I can't seem to find any references to this, but here goes:
In there anyway to parse an html/aspx file within an asp.net
application to gather a collection of controls in the file. For
instance what I'm trying to do is upload a html file onto the web
server, convert it to aspx file and then parse it for input
tags/controls, which in turn will become fields in a newly created
database table.
Clearly when the aspx file is called the...

Here is my situation:
I have an aspx file stored in a resource file. All of the C# code is
written inline via <script runat="server"tags. Let's call this page
B. I also have page A that contains some javascript code that calls
window.open. I pass the resource url of page B to Page A's window.open
call. Page B is then loaded and executed but none of the server-side
code is rendered. If I view the source of the page, the code (and page...

hi,
i am currently investigating a bug in a complex code project. unfortunately
i cannot ask the developer having written it as he has left the company.
the thing is: a .cs-code-behind-file of an .aspx-page interacts with
client-side jscript-code. the .cs-file is sent to the client as to be seen
inside a sniffer. when taking a look at the original code one only can see
the definition of the variables. looking inside the sniffer trace...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
